.....won a $500 American Girl gift card sweepstakes? What would you buy? I know that most of you have read (and responded to!) the post that asks, "If you had a $200 American Girl gift certificate, what would you buy?" So, I just decided to make it even more fun, by giving you a larger amount to spend (plus the excitement of winning an American Girl contest; LOL)! Would you go crazy with the gift certificate and buy everything you though was nice, but you wouldn't think of buying with your own money, or would you carefully think about what your dolls' wardrobe needs the most, and what would be more likely to retire? Or, would you buy a couple things for yourself, and then buy a ton of stuff and give it to charity? You decide! If only this were real... [img]wink.gif[/img]

Hmmm...

If I were buying for myself, I would buy Molly with her Route 66 outfit and accessories. I would also buy Kit and her photography set. Molly reminds me of my mom b/c my mom was a girl in the 1940s, and I love that Molly has a Brownie camera just like the one my mom had. Kit is my favorite "girl", and I just love that she has her own camera, too.

Those are really the only things I want for me. I would have to spend the remainder on my DDs. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Now... if I were going to spend the whole $500 on them (which would more than likely be the case [img]tongue.gif[/img] ), I would splurge and get Kaya's teepee, Penny, and the new carriage for Kelly. For Lindsay I would get the blonde Bitty Twins since that is what she wants most. [img]smile.gif[/img]

We DID win a trip to Ag Place in Chicago several years ago. Boy, was that fun! We only had $250 to spend that we won with the trip, but we had fun spending that for sure! At the time DD was only 3 and had only Bitty. She chose Samantha, some of her clothes and accessories, and the rest she wanted AG today things. She loves the beach, so we bought some of the beach sets that were available at the time...that set, with the green chairs, is still one of her favorites today. We have mixed it in with the cabana set, and it really looks very cute. Such a magical trip! She really enjoyed NY this summer too...we want to go back in November I think! [img]tongue.gif[/img]

We will be getting mostly F/E new stuff with the b-day $$ DD has...she is still narrowing it down, but the carriage is a must, the stable set, Patriot, tea dresses, ballgowns, tea set and treats, & baby Polly are at the top of the list...gee that is quite the list! I think that qualifies for the $500! [img]eek.gif[/img]

I would get DD Kit's bed, desk, typewriter and the AGT outfits we don't have but want.

I might also get AGoT4 with it.

I would finish Felicity and Addy's collections, but I would NOT get their bed or nightgowns (they are waste of display place and are better for play in my opinion) If I had money left, which I think I would since Im pretty far along for both those girls, I would get Kit and just go through her collection book by book until my money ran out [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

I would purchase Addy and all the outfits of hers I don't have (I only have two so far) and a select few of her accessories, or I would buy the sleigh and Penny to go with it and then Addy stuff on top of that.
